Managing Absence from Group Classes: flexible solutions for our students
It is perfectly normal for any student to miss 12 consecutive group lessons in their lifetime. Unpredictable life situations, such as illness, family events or other unavoidable commitments, often cause such absences. Our school offers flexible solutions so that our students can continue their studies without disruption in these situations.
Online Connectivity
The first and most important step is to know at least 24 hours in advance that the student will not be able to attend the class:
- Notification: The student can notify us or the teacher directly that he/she cannot be present.
- Join online: You can join the class online. This will ensure that, although you are not physically present, you can still actively participate in the class.
- Technical Preparation: The teacher can then be technically prepared to ensure that the lesson can run smoothly with online participation.
What to do in case of absences
If the student cannot attend the class online:
- Homework assignments: The student receives the homework from the class he/she missed. This way, the next time he/she is able to be present, he/she will be as prepared as if he/she had been in the class.
- Teacher Assistance: The student can ask the teacher to ask a question from the previous lesson. In this way, the preparation at home and the reinforcement of the new knowledge through feedback in class is not compromised.
- Fellow Student Help: You can ask for further help from the students who took part in the lesson. This helps to promote collaborative learning and cooperation in the group.
Renew your season ticket
If the student indicates in advance that he/she will not be able to attend one or two sessions in any form and has been coming to us for at least six months:
- Renew your season ticket: It is possible to extend the term of the lease.
